Iloilo's reaching new heights with SM Strata

It's the tallest building in the region!

The 18-storey, 80-meter high SM Strata Tower stands like a sentinel along Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue (Diversion Road) watching over the Iloilo City’s principal transport backbone.

With an estimated project cost of around PhP 2 Billion, construction began in March 2016 and two and a half years later, SM Strata is ready for occupancy.

So whats it like to be inside and atop the tallest building on this side of the country? Let's have a virtual visual tour...

At the Ground Level is the newly opened Savemore Strata plus another SM Transport Hub serving Leganes jeepneys and other PUJs giving customers and employees ease of accessibility to public transportation. There are also spaces for more tenants that ready for occupancy.

The main entrance to building is also found here with 6 high speed elevators servicing the upper floors. On one end is the entry point to the pedestrian overpass that connects the tower to SM City Iloilo.

The next five levels (Levels 2-5) are devoted to free parking for its future tenants at the same time mall-goers with the 2nd Level having the direct access to the overpass.

The building has a system that will minimize the threat of traffic build-up. Private vehicles may opt to drop their passengers at the front, main entrance or at the parking entrances on all four above-ground parking levels.

SM Strata will devote 12 levels starting from the 6th to 18th (there's "NO" 13th floor) accommodate BPO locators and offices with a total area 60,000 sqm. The project aims to provide job opportunities to the surrounding communities and to establish the BPO presence in neighboring towns where population is dense.

The building is estimated to generate around 12,300 employees per shift not including tenants coming in at the ground floor.

Here's a video tour of the whole 6th level

Also on the 6th level is a podium that will connect the current tower to its future twin tower.

An al fresco garden will bloom on this level giving tenants a much need space to unwind and enjoy the view 6 storeys below.

SM City Iloilo from the 6th level
Zooming to the 18th floor, the top office floor gives one a breathtaking view of Iloilo City. With an all-glass front facade, having an office with this view could lessen all stress from work.

But of course, nothing beats the view from the top most level. Not just from the rooftop but from the helipad that soars 20 levels high.

The new SM Strata with its commercial spaces will be able to offer employment prospects and will propel economic benefits to the communities.
