UP Law, UPV Collaborate for Juris Doctor Classes in UP Iloilo

The University of the Philippines College of Law and the University of the Philippines Visayas are working together to make quality legal education more accessible in the Visayas region. For the first time, and under the leadership of Pres. Danilo L. Concepcion who spearheaded the project, the UP College of Law will hold extension classes in the UP Iloilo City campus. The UP College of Law offers the Juris Doctor program in its home campus in UP Diliman. In 2016, the College began offering the JD program in the UP Bonifacio Global City campus. This year, the College will welcome the pioneer batch of JD students for UP Iloilo. The pioneer batch of twenty JD freshmen for UP Iloilo includes six graduates from UP Visayas, including the UP Tacloban City campus, two graduates each from UP Cebu and UP Mindanao, and graduates from the Mindanao State University and the Central Mindanao University. Comelec Voters Registration at SM Supermalls

The Commission on Elections and SM Supermalls recently launched 76 satellite COMELEC Voter Registration centers at the SM Supermalls to provide voters with more registration venues. This will run in SM Supermalls nationwide until Sept 30.  This gives the public a safer, more convenient option amidst the prevailing COVID health crisis. SM Supermalls is providing free space and waived charges to essential conveniences so they can efficiently operate the registration centers.  In SM City Iloilo, venue will be at the lower ground floor (near Toy Kingdom). The voters registration will start 8am-5pm on September 10-11

Mall-goers looking to process their documents and transact with government agencies can visit the various government satellite offices in Festive Walk Iloilo that are open to serve the public.  Offices of the PhilHealth, Bureau of Immigration and Professional Regulation Commission are open while the PhilSys National ID registration is also ongoing from Mon-Sun, 9 AM to 5 PM at the 2/F Hallway.
