A longer, more beautiful and secure Iloilo River Esplanade

The Iloilo River Esplanade in the City of Love had four new sections inaugurated with Senator Franklin Drilon, the brain behind the linear park, leading the ceremony at Muelle Loney St., Iloilo City. The new sections stretch from the Diversion Bridge all the way to Muelle Loney right beside Iloilo river. LONGER ESPLANADE The Iloilo River Esplanade now total 8.1 kms. with the first phase, 1.2 km. from Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Ave. to Carpenter’s Bridge in Mandurriao district, launched back in August 2012. Iloilo City gears up to be more MICE competitive

Ilonggo Senator Franklin Drilon graced the presentation of Iloilo MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibits) Tourism Marketing Plan at Iloilo Convention Center (Icon) in Mandurriao district July 26. The goal is to make Iloilo the next MICE destination, not only a livable city but a destination for tourism and investments. Sen. Drilon wants to restore Calle Real to its original grandeur and old glory. He enjoined Mayor Jerry P. TreƱas to regulate signages in the heritage Central Business District and maintain its cleanliness. Plans are also underway to make the newly-restored Aduana Building along Muelle Loney Street, City Proper into a museum of maritime history with Iloilo’s rich seafaring culture and traditions and a war veteran museum within the historic Sunburst Park.

SM City Iloilo holds Japanese Film Festival EIGASAI on July 25 to 28

Megaworld launches P350-million Festive Walk Transport Hub

Property giant Megaworld is set to open its Transport Hubs this year to serve the requirements of the region's first Premium P2P service in Iloilo Business Park.  The P350-million Iloilo Business Park Transport Hubs will have two terminals— one for departures and another for arrivals — that will be strategically located along the township's Megaworld Boulevard, just in front of the Festive Walk Mall.
