Globe Telecom employees have raised over P27.5 million from a fundraising initiative primarily aimed at providing much-need personal protective equipment, face shields, and face masks to healthcare workers in 50 hospitals across the country. The SM Group has turned over the medical supplies donation to the City of Iloilo and other hospitals in Western Visayas. The donation for Iloilo City forms part of SM’s P170M support for the government, communities, and hospitals to contain and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrew Tan-led Megaworld Corporation has donated P60-million to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to set up COVID-19 testing laboratories in Metro Manila. The donation was used to purchase of four (4) brand-new sets of COVID-19 test laboratories. 2GO Group Inc. is ready to welcome aboard returning Filipino seafarers and workers to carry out their mandatory 14-day quarantine on two of its passenger vessels, the shipping and logistics company announced. In partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), 2GO provided these passenger vessels to be used as quarantine facilities. The move was in response to the call of Secretary Arthur Tugade for private passenger ships to be used for this purpose because of tight capacities.
