Iloilo City gov't eases on liquor ban, allows SELLING

LATEST UPDATE: MAYOR TREÑAS REIMPOSES LIQUOR BAN. NO MORE SELLING. Cites various incidents that may arise from intoxication.

The Iloilo City Government under Mayor Jerry Treñas issued EO 66 amending Section 12 of EO 55-A Series of 2020 LIQUOR BAN.

The Executive Order amendment is summarized as follows:

●SELLING OF LIQUORS WILL NOW BE ALLOWED but subject to the following conditions:

■Drinking in public is (still) prohibited.

■Social distancing must be observed.

■ Big gatherings such as fiestas and other activities are (still) prohibited.

■ Liquor Ban (on SELLING) SHALL BE AUTOMATICALLY REIMPOSED IF THERE ARE ANY REPORTED VIOLATIONS OR ABUSES TO THE ABOVE. MENTIONED GUIDELINES.
