12th Indigenous Fiber Fashion Fair celebrates weaving heritage at SM City Iloilo

The Iloilo Provincial Government in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Region 6 and SM City Iloilo will again host the 12th Indigenous Fiber Fashion Fair which ks set to rule the runway this August 24-30, 2019 at the SM City Iloilo. With the aim of preserving the region’s hand-loom weaving as a cultural heritage, the event will also serve as a flatform for local designers to showcase their signature designs, extending help to weaving communities and entrepreneurs with the purpose of keeping the tradition alive. John Montinola and Ayan Jorda will open the show on August 24 with Grandiosa. Habol Miagaoanon courtesy of the Municipality of Miagao, and Hablon Moda by Jeff Ticao will be on August 25 and 26, repectively. The Iloilo Business Week is a major event in the celebration of Iloilo City's 82nd Charter Day celebration until August 25. UPFRONT: A glimpse of Philippine Heritage churches at SM City Iloilo

Mall goers will have the rare opportunity to see the century old churches around the Philippines through a photo exhibit at SM City Iloilo. In partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Filipino Heritage Festival, Inc. Groovestyle Iloilo emerges as Denim Dance Fest 2019 champs at SM City Iloilo

Capping the Denim Dance Fest at SM City Iloilo last August 3, 2019, Groovestyle emerged as the branch finals champion in a jampacked Northpoint Event Center, filled with mallgoers and supporters of each competing groups. DENIM DANCEFEST 2019 is the the biggest dance competition in the region. Now on its 9th year, SM Supermalls is proud to once again embark on a quest to find the next big dance stars through its open base category. SM City Iloilo, Bacolod and Puerto Princesa embarked on a search for the best dance crew and the eliminations have gotten bigger and more electrifying as the groups have undergone a series of eliminations to test the limits of each contestants.
