Level Up Iloilo: SM City hosts Iloilo Business Week 2019

The Iloilo Business Week is a major event in the celebration of Iloilo City's 82nd Charter Day celebration until August 25.

Dubbed as "LEVEL UP, ILOILO, it formally opened last August 12 at SM City Iloilo with Mayor Jerry P. Treñas gracing the opening program. 

Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo and supported by Iloilo Business Club (IBC), Iloilo Multisectoral Business Organization, and Iloilo Economic Development (ILED) Foundation Inc., Iloilo Business Week is promotional initiative which is now on its second year. 

"Innovate Iloilo" campaign will be launched Aug. 13 to boost talents, capabilities, and facilities to become a leading innovation hub in the country.  An innovation roadmap considered to be the first in the country was crafted in consonance with the Philippine Innovation Act recently signed by President Rodrigo Duterte. 

The event has solicited multi-stakeholders support of the industry, private sector, universities, local government units, and national government agencies including the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Tourism and Department of Agriculture.

In the afternoon of Aug. 14,  an Economic and Business Outlook 2019 at SM Cinema 6 will be held. Mr. Ronilo Balbieran, REID Foundation, Inc., Mr. RJ Ledesma,Go Negosyo and Mr. Jose Jaffy Azzaraga of PwC Isla Lipana and Co. will be the guest speakers who will share their insights.

The Trade, Travel, Food and Fiber Fair runs until Aug. 18 featuring arts and crafts, delicacies and fashion products. 

The endeavor aims to enhance economic promotions and great potentials of the city and province as emerging investment destination.
