Festive Walk Iloilo hosts the biggest gathering of Ilonggo artists this year

Over 180 llonggo artists are featured at the Iloilo Arts Festival at Festive Walk Iloilo Iloilo City — Ilonggo artistry takes the centerstage in the Iloilo Arts Festival 2022, which is being hosted by Festive Walk Iloilo. The art fair, which will run until January 30, 2023, is featuring the works of over 180 local creatives in a special gallery located at the 2F Festive Walk Parade. Called the Iloilo Art Pop Up Studio, the art celebration is the brainchild of Iloilo First Lady Mrs. Rosalie Trefias together with the help of the city government. The artist lineup includes members of various Iloilo Art Groups as well as independent artists, with both emerging and veteran artists in the roster. Holiday season officially switched on in Iloilo City!

The Iloilo City Government officially launched the City’s Grand Lighting Ceremony at SM City Iloilo South Point last November 25, 2022.  Together with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Iloilo, Mayor Jerry TreƱas distributed certificates of appreciation to all the benefactors of the Parol of Hope installed all over the city, as well as the Ilonggo families that beautified the plazas with Christmas centerpieces. Mayor TreƱas emphasized the importance of Public-Private Parnership(PPP) like the markets redevelopment project and mentioned that the two biggest markets, the Central and Terminal Markets will be developed by SM Prime Holdings thru PPP. Iloilo PorkFest: A festive, delicious recovery measure vs. ASF

  The Iloilo provincial government is holding a pork festival in the entire province of Iloilo as a program on prevention, containment, depopulation and recovery measure against African Swine Fever (ASF). Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. said the ššØš«š¤ š…šžš¬š­š¢šÆššš„ šŠšØš§š­š«šš š€š’š… will implement activities towards strengthening the resilience of backyard farmers and boosting the swine industry. Under Executive Order No. 545 Series of 2022, the pork festival will have four components: First is the imposition of sustained and intensified border control within the red (infected) and pink (buffer) zones) to prevent the spread of ASF. Second, the province will conduct trainings and seminars on biosecurity measures and animal husbandry practices to strengthen the swine industry at the municipal and barangay level. “That is the way forward. The municipality of Santa Barbara recently hosted "Passport On Wheels", a mobile passport processing service of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Services Division last Nov. 3 to 5, 2022. Held at the Sta. Barbara Municipal Covered Gym, the 3-day "1st Kahilwayan Passport On Wheels" had 1,520 SUCCESSFUL applicants from almost 2,000 applications received during the pre-registration period.
