Holiday season officially switched on in Iloilo City!

The Iloilo City Government officially launched the City’s Grand Lighting Ceremony at SM City Iloilo South Point last November 25, 2022.

Together with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Iloilo, Mayor Jerry Treñas distributed certificates of appreciation to all the benefactors of the Parol of Hope installed all over the city, as well as the Ilonggo families that beautified the plazas with Christmas centerpieces.

Mayor Treñas emphasized the importance of Public-Private Parnership(PPP) like the markets redevelopment project and mentioned that the two biggest markets, the Central and Terminal Markets will be developed by SM Prime Holdings thru PPP.

He is also very grateful as he mentioned that SM will be the biggest sponsor from the private sector, in next year’s Dinagyang, as the latter committed P10-M in cash in assistance.

The event was also graced by Iloilo lone district Congresswoman Hon. Julienne Baronda, Uswag Party-list Congressman Jojo Ang, Chairman of PCCI Iloilo and Christmas Parol Committee, Dr. Sandra Sarabia-Gomez, PCCI Regional Governor Atty. Jobert Penaflorida and PCCI President Engr. Fulbert Woo, members of Zonta Club of Iloilo II and other business organizations.
