SM City Iloilo partners with UP Visayas for academic, internship programs

SM City Iloilo signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with University of the Philippines Visayas(UPV) to create beneficial academic, internship and recruitment partnership, held at the mall November 9, 2022.

SM City Iloilo signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with University of the Philippines Visayas(UPV) to create beneficial academic, internship and recruitment partnership, held at the mall  November 9, 2022. Present at the ceremonial signing from UPV were University of the Philippines Visayas Chancellor Dr. Clement C. Camposano,  UPV Director for Student Affairs Prof. Agustin G. Huyong, along with SM City Iloilo Mall Manager Gilbert A. Domingo and Senior HR Manager Irene L. Caumban who represented VP-HR Ms. Cheryll Ruth L. Agsaoay.

This is part of the mall's commitment to help build progressive communities in Iloilo. The said partnership eyes to help qualified students learn and participate in the mall's internship programs and career sessions.

UPV students may now qualify for SM City Iloilo’s internship programs and career sessions, paving way for practical applications of the learners' conceptual knowledge, skills, and values. This initiative also opens up future career opportunities for the students.


Present at the ceremonial signing from UPV were University of the Philippines Visayas Chancellor Dr. Clement C. Camposano, UPV Director for Student Affairs Prof. Agustin G. Huyong, along with SM City Iloilo Mall Manager Gilbert A. Domingo and Senior HR Manager Irene L. Caumban who represented VP-HR Ms. Cheryll Ruth L. Agsaoay.

SM City Iloilo managers and employees were also present to witness the MOA signing activity.
