The Medical City Iloilo kicks off Christmas with star lanterns switch on

Christmas is now felt and seen in The Medical City Iloilo as the hospital switched on the Christmas star lanterns that adorn its faƧade on November 18. A total of 77 stars were lighted during the switch on ceremony held at the Iloilo River Esplanade 2 and was attended by the employees and some patient partners of The Medical City Iloilo. Cebu Landmasters Inc., International Builders Corp. ink deal for Iloilo City condo project

Leading Visayas-Mindanao developer Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) intends to further strengthen its presence in Western Visayas with the development of a P1.5 billion residential condominium project anchored by high-visibility retail spaces in a strategic Iloilo City location. The listed firm recently signed a joint venture agreement with businessman Alfonso Tan, chairman of International Builders Corporation (IBC), for a high-rise residential tower on a prime corner lot in the city’s downtown area.  CLI will own 50% of the residential development and will manage the development. IBC, who recently developed the GT Town Center Mall in Pavia, will simultaneously develop a downtown mall that connects to the residential tower. The tower will be the first condo offering in the highly accessible downtown area. Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo celebrates "Paskwa sa Panai"

One of the newest hotels in the City of Love, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo is celebrating its very first Christmas!  Adapting as "Paskwa Sa Panai" as its holiday theme, the concept focuses on Iloilo City's naturally colored and festive Holiday customs and traditions. And to enliven the spirit of the Ilonggo tradition and incorporate it during the Christmas season, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo partnered with Cham Lopez, Balai Hablon, and Atelier de Hablon.  The centerpiece is a 12-foot Christmas Tree on display at the hotel's lobby decorated with hablon angels, Christmas balls wrapped in hablon cloth, rattans balls, Capiz shell stars and other Panayanon pieces. Seda Atria Iloilo officially ushers in the Holiday season with the ceremonial lighting of its Christmas Tree. New organizer Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) sets innovations for a whole new Dinagyang experience themed “Perfect Vision: Celebrating the Ilonggo Spirit in Honor of Senior Santo NiƱo” that climaxes January next year.  The Ilonggo revelry celebration levels up with a 360-degree showcase in its 2020 edition in perfect vision of spectators. “Dinagyang 360 is an arena theater-type performance. The presentation is a design challenge. Judges will be positioned on all four sides, north, east, west, and south. The change is also to democratize the limited space in four stages,” explained Eric Divinagracia, chair of tribes and artistic committee. “The concept revolves around three aspects including indigenous culture of Ati, devotion to Santo NiƱo and dagyang or merry-making. We have to showcase Ilonggo values portrayed in bountiful harvest or helping one another, among others. These should be shown in the color and texture used by participants,” he explained. Eig

Korean Film Festival 2019 Unreels in 7 SM Cinemas nationwide

In celebration of the 70 years of Philippine-Korean friendship, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC), the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) and SM, present the Korean Film Festival in seven cities around the Philippines.  This year's festival with the theme Sailing Beyond Together, will kick off in Manila on November 6 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier. No less than Jeon Go-woon, director of the festival's opening film Microhabitat, will grace the opening night with a Special Director's Talk.  Jeon Go-woon's Microhabitat is an award-winning comedy-drama film which follows the story of Miso who gets by in her life by housekeeping. When the government doubles the price of her favorite things — cigarettes and whiskey, she decided to leave her house. Before doing so, she makes a list of friends, who may or may not, be willing to make a space or two for her.
