Opening a few weeks ago is the Shops at Atria - a collection of around 25 shops (around 15 are open now) mainly for dining, services and a little shopping. It seems this is just a preview of the bigger things to come. And it's not just the newly announced The Strip, something much bigger...
With entrances from both the Donato Pison and Boardwalk avenues plus the Qualimed and Ateneo areas, it seem to entice the Ilonggo crowd day or night. Iloilo's nightspot - Smallville is just a 5- minute walk away!
A concept similar to another Ayala development - Nuvali, Shops at Atria, offers a leisure strip with landscaping - very ideal for enjoying or kiling time - al fresco style.
With its signature pocket gardens and walkways lacing throughout the mini complex, its gives Ilonggos another new place to hang out and enjoy time whether through a bite or a sip .
The Shops at Atria is at the shadows of another Ayala development - the 153-room Seda Hotel Atria. Currently under construction, the hotel is expected to open based on press releases sometime this July.
A central square serves as an activity center where in all of the entrances converge making it a perfect venue for events. Like its grand launching on May 11, almost a month after its soft opening.
A number of shops are just "tarpaulin announcements" as of now but they will soon challenge the already opened shops.
Among them is a popular homegrown restaurant back in the 90's - Ang Kamalig...
A Singapore-based (?) seafood restaurant specializing on crabs - Clarke Quay...
And my personal favorite - Breadtalk.
Finally, here's a quick guide on how the Shops look like and where the various establishments are located. But with everything just within 5 minutes, you won't get lost on your tracks. Just be lost in gastronomic translation. Now that's yummy!
