SEDA Atria: A Staycation with an Edge

It was Friday the 13th but with SEDA Atria's inviting and comfortable bed with a welcoming view of Iloilo - how can it be an "unlucky day"?

A modern lifestyle hotel for discerning travelers seeking global standards in product and service efficiency, the 152-room SEDA Atria is the first SEDA hotel in the Visayas. From tourists discovering Iloilo or locals enjoying their staycation, the hotel knows how to satisfy guests.

SEDA Atria stands on what used to be salt beds and sugarcane plantation with a replica of an old chimney from a muscovado mill as a reminder of the area’s historic past.
Strategically located in the heart of the Atria Park District, SEDA Atria is located just 30 minutes from the Iloilo International Airport. And right next door is The Shops at Atria where you can savor Iloilo's famous Lapaz batchoy, try native Ilonggo coffee and have some biscuits like biscocho, barquillos and more.

Simple yet elegant Lobby
Meaning "silk," the service provided by SEDA, combined with its stylish but highly functional and contemporary interiors represent great value to its guests and ensure a satisfying hotel experience. It has fused the innate hospitality of the Filipino with best global practices.

Same motif inside out
Checking-in was a breeze and in no time I was already enjoying the view and the comforts the Deluxe Room I was in. Thanks to its  paperless check-in and check-out—a "first" in Iloilo in hospitality industry.

Comfy slip ons
Speaking of comfort, the slippers were already a "welcome" as I slipped them on to check the room's amenities. To which I didn't have to go far as I already was enjoying my comfy bed. De Luxe Rooms have either 1 King or 2 (Twin) bed's depending on your choice or what's available - so better make a wise decision or leave it to "lady luck".

Take me to dreamland

I had a hard time getting out of the bed even though I just dove in. The mattress just had the right support plus smooth andclean-smelling sheets - good enough for two people to share. And pillows are bountiful - that is if you booked a double bed room, you just get all the pillows! But with a room mate, you'll have have to be contented with two - not bad.

Rooms have smart utilization of space and thoughtfully selected amenities that envelop you in total comfort.
SEDA Atria's Deluxe Rooms feel small at first but then your realize how each space and corner are utilized to make everything fit in - comfortably. And that chair on the work desk gave me one of "best feelings in the world"! You'll also be "e-pampered" with a 40-inch LED HDTV with cable channels, media panel with HDMI, USB and audio-visual connectivity, broadband internet access, IDD phone with iPod dock, alarm clock, and radio. Not to mention fast Wi-Fi connection and lots of power outlets to charge our almost limitless gadgets!

Make it Safe

The cabinet has the basic amenities - spaces to hang your clothes and place your bags and shoes - whatever way you use them. A mini safe to keep your valuables and rest your ever-dubious thoughts.

Hot or Cold?
Care for coffee and tea? Not this time, I'd just have the cold drinks in the fridge.

Sit like a King
Checking out the toilet and bath, I felt the need to freshen myself on the spot seeing the "immaculately" clean surroundings. The urge became stronger with the fresh and clean-smelling towels neatly placed in the racks.

Shower to Shower
And the toiletries well, just use a small portion and bring home the rest. Funny but true. Do you?

How about giving hope every gulp you take? It's inspiring at the same time very refreshing...

Refreshed in my Deluxe Room, I was just in time for the relaunching of the SEDA Loyalty Program later that night at the Satin Function Room.

SEDA Edge launch. Thanks Andrea

Drink the night away

And almost literally on the edge and serving appetizers and a host of beers, hard drinks, cocktails,  or whatever you feel like drinking, Straight Up roof deck bar on the 7th floor is an excellent after-work joint. Unwind with friends at the bar or bring your drink outside for a bird's eye view of Iloilo City

Check out these current two offerings of the bar on top of its standard menu of food and drinks. Bottoms up? Cheers!

Breakfast the next day was at Misto - SEDA Atria's all day dining restaurant offering a medley of local and international dishes. While it offers daily buffet for breakfast, it is ala carte dining for lunch and dinner but offers special buffets during special occasions like Valentine. Check it out at Misto SEDA Atria Dining.

Eat's a Breakfast Buffet
It was a full-house breakfast buffet at Misto but good thing refilling up the buffet spread was prompt so it was meaty start for Saturday the 14th. You can have all the bacon, longganisa, corned beef and sausage you want - just watch out for your cholesterol levels though.

Bacon is Life!
Make you own appetizer at the Salad station.

Salad days
At the cooking cooking station, you can have eggs cooked the way you want it. And some pancakes too!

One scrambled egg, please.
Lots of juices and infused drinks to choose from on top of coffee, tea or hot choco.

Just go for the basic - Cucumber mint water
And make room for dessert!

There are lots to choose from SEDA Atria's breakfast buffet and I only got to capture a limited few on camera. Special mention to its fried dried squid which had me go back twice. They also served bangus, penne pasta, a selection of potatoes, karne prita and a whole lot more that time. Burp!

Now where's my squid?
Burning the calories we took in for breakfast, we roamed around the hotel to check its other facilities.

Here's the E-Lounge at the lobby where you can do all business and online transactions or just linger around

A little further up the lobby is the gym where guests can do their exercise to burn calories faster. Just around the corner is the Satin function room arranged for banquets.

And here's Straight Up Bar basking under the morning sun before going back to our room.

All that was lacking at SEDA Atria is a pool which would make any staycation more enjoyable.

But nonetheless, its ideal location, proven quality of service , the right mix of technology and efficiency and the best of Filipino hospitality makes SEDA Atria a hotel of exceptional value!
