Goldberry Lite Iloilo: Old-world charm resonating with young contemporary vibe

I alway see Goldberry Suites' signage every time I find myself traversing the Marcelo Fernan bridge in Cebu and Mactan  en route to the airport. But its too far away from my usual destination, so it's always just a longing view...
But a few years back, literally rising from the ruins on a old school building in downtown Iloilo, Goldberry found itself in the City of Love through its boutique hotel format - Goldberry Lite.
The 73-room boutique hotel is the second hotel of 3L Properties & Alpha Development Corporation after the Goldberry Suites in Mactan, Cebu.
A classically-styled avant-garde, the boutique hotel is set in an immaculately restored vintage neoclassical Beaux-Arts structure, Ilonggos now have a cozy niche in the city's historic downtown.
A modest yet well-appointed lobby welcomes guests at Goldberry Lite Hotel Iloilo. Modern with a touch of Filipino creativity, these furnishings creates a stylish yet homey ambiance.  No surprises as furniture-making is the core business of the family which ventured into the hospitality industry back in 2010.
Coast Pacific Manufacturing Corporation (CPMC) is a successful Cebu-based company which is involved in furniture- making for export and real estate business, among others. These expertise complemented in its entry in the hotel industry with the opening of Goldberry Suites in Mactan, Cebu around 8 years ago.
While they can't bring the beaches of Mactan in Iloilo, an indoor pool makes up for it. A glass wall separates the lobby from the splashes and the fun of swimming!
And it's even open to non-hotel guest for a minimum fee. There, you can even have a pool party with all the fun, activities and food.  Speaking of food, you can order them by just hopping inside The Rabbit Hole.
A restaurant, cafe and bar in one, The Rabbit Hole Iloilo serves as the main dining outlet of the hotel specializing in Filipino, continental and fusion cuisines.
Checkout their delectable Ossobuco (an Italian dish made with cross-cut veal shanks braised with vegetables, white wine and broth) and Cookie ala Skillet when you drop by the restaurant. Read more about The Rabbit Hole

It boasts a unique and timeless interior giving guests an ‘old world’ charm with a contemporary vibe.
