12 Ways to Feel Good at Park Inn Iloilo

Iloilo City's newest hotel just had its grand opening and it's the 10-storey, 200-room Park Inn by Radisson located at the sprawling SM City complex. And it's fresh, vibrant and uncomplicated!
Park Inn is a friendly brand that focuses on delivering the modern essentials of a great hotel experience.  It is an upper mid-scale hotel brand that delivers stress-free experiences, good food and upbeat environments.
With its ceremonial opening held last April 2, I had the chance to be one of the first to experience what the hotel has to offer.
Mayor JOE III Espinosa (center) together with Ms. Elizabeth Sy, President (2nd from right), SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, Ms. Peggy Angeles (2nd from left), Executive Vice President, SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, Mr. Walid El Zeer (right), Hotel Manager, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo and Regional Director Helen Catalbas (left) of Dept. Of Tourism.

And here are
12 Ways to Feel Good
at Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo.

Take Advantage of its Great Location
The hotel is around 30 minutes away from Iloilo International Airport and is near the tourist attractions - churches, parks, museums, historical landmarks, as well the the nightlife!
With largest shopping mall in the region - SM City Iloilo, just being a stone's throw away,  you can do your shopping and malling from 10am to 10pm without the hassle of long travel and traffic.

Benefit from its Interconnectivity
As of now, you have to walk a few steps from the hotel to SM Southpoint to experience its connectivity to the mall and the rest of the city.
But soon, a walkway will directly connect the hotel and SM Southpoint on their second levels - the pool area of the hotel will be directly linked to the al fresco mall near Vikings Luxury Buffet.
No rains or scorching heat can stop your enjoyment - whether its malling or jumping off to your next destination as it is also connected with transport terminals!

Enjoy its Modern Chic Lobby
The “Living Room” concept allows its guests to already feel good once they enter. The hip interior and colorful design allows them to have fun as they socialize and mingle at the lobby.
One can unwind through reading or surfing the net as the hotel offers a vibrant ambiance and complimentary high-speed Internet for unlimited connectivity.
And take a lot of selfies if you can since almost every corner has Instagrammable spots!

Feel the vibe of Paraw and Dinagyang Festivals
It's festival season all year round at Park Inn Iloilo!
Check out the Dinagyang Festival headress and accent decors spread throughout the lobby and restaurant for a "Hala Bira" experience!
Another festival, Paraw Regatta, makes its presence felt once you enter your room as it makes a colorful and festive accent to the rooms. Sail away in your dreams...

Unwind in your room
Whether your in a Standard, Superior or Suite room, you can expect top notch amenities to satisfy your needs.
There'a large smart TV (with cable channels) in the center of the room for your entertainment needs that is smartphone connectivity ready.

A fridge with some simple eats and drinks things can be found in one corner for some late night snacks.
And there's some electric water heater too. A desk that would serve as your worktable at the same time dining table
A large closet for your clothes and and a safe for your valuables. And they have an iron and ironing board too! So what more can you ask for?

Take a loooong bath
With fluffy towels and a specially formulated hair and body wash plus an easy to navigate flexible shower plus water pressure at the right amount - taking a long bath seems like a great idea.
Lather up with Dove's formulation specially made for Park Inn by Radisson.
This sustainable practice of refills greatly reduce the hotel's plastic wastage thus contributing to the care of Mother Nature.
And also enjoy the amenities it has to offer including the hair dryer and other toiletries.

Sleep like a baby
Now that we are refreshed, there's nothing more relaxing to do than to lie down into the bed and hug the pillows for a comfortable sleep.
Clean white sheets, well-supporting beds, huggable pillows and soothing comforters - all these make a nice, long and  comfortable sleep.

Sit Back, Relax...
This red lounge chair is one the most comfortable seats I have ever sat on. No matter what position I found my self in, the feeling of relaxation never left me.
In fact, I think I almost spent more time on this chair than the bed or any part of the room! I can even sleep well on it...
Equally relaxing the swivel chair on the work table. Its ergonomic design makes it great with its back support and its quick response to the movements make its another relaxing feature.

... Enjoy the View
Good thing that I requested a room with a view of the pool that made my stay more relaxed. The open space at the back of the mall seemed to comfort me - a feeling of a relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of mall goers.
In a few years time, the open space will host the expansion project for SM City Iloilo like the upcoming SMX Iloilo and some condo projects for SMDC's Style Residences.
And the pool looked very inviting two-storeys below my room that I decided to check it out. But it wasn't ready that time (so with the gym) so the view and a stroll were all I got then.

Take Pleasure in its Gastronomic Offerings
Enjoy Pancit Molo and other Ilonggo dishes plus more in its all-day dining restaurant - Ani.
The resto provides an a la mode setting for good food and good company to mix and match.
Whether an intimate date or group meets, its wide selection of exciting food offerings and beverage options, makes it an ideal place to have some gastronomic fun.
It was still a plated breakfast during our stay since it was still on soft opening but buffet will soon be part of the service at Ani.
Filipino favorite - Tapsilog, is a must try but if you're no meat eater try the Fried Bangus. That cucumber atchara is definitely a great appetizer. Hoping to find it on the buffet offering soon...

On the Go? DASH it!

Dash is a convenient self-serve section which offers busy travelers a variety of ready-to-eat choices that can be consumed on-the-go.
Dash is located beside the hotel's bar
Think of it as your convenience store at the hotel. When the restaurant is closed and you haven't had your food stocked, Dash will certainly be to the rescue!

And lastly, don't forget to smile!
Flash your best smile and everyone smiles back at you. It's the universal gesture of peace and love! So how are you today? It's now time to Feel  Good at Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo!

The area around the town of Bingawan, the edge of the central portion of the province is where it ends and the town of Tapaz, Capiz province begins and is very much another unsung corner of Iloilo with warm, friendly, welcoming people. Iloilo Ancestral Houses: The Lizares Mansion in Jaro

One the most elegant reminders of Iloilo's rich and noble past is the imposing Lizares Mansion in Tabuc Suba, Jaro. Situated in an almost 2-hectare lot, this mansion was built in 1937 by Don Emiliano Lizares for his wife Conchita Gamboa. The mansion has three floors, a basement and an attic. It has a winding wooden staircase and big bedrooms with floor and doors made of hardwood. It has 59 doors which indicate the intricacy of its layout.  When World War II broke out, the family left for a safe hiding place in Pototan, Iloilo. The mansion was then used as headquarters of the Japanese army. It was believed that the basement became a dumping ground for tortured Filipinos. After the war, the family went back to live in the mansion, but life was never the same. In 1950, Don Emiliano Lizares died and his widow left for Manila, leasing the mansion to a businessman who turned it into a casino.  The city mayor later ordered that the casino be closed, claimi
