San Miguel Pale Pilsen kicks-off CONNECT Pub Crawl in Iloilo City

Twenty (20) barkadas, composed of 5 members with ages 18 and up, were invited to participate in the first leg of the CONNECT Pub Crawl in Iloilo.

CONNECT is the first nationwide Pub Crawl brought to you by San Miguel Pale Pilsen that aims to bring friends closer, and create new friendships for that truly memorable #Walanglwanan experience.

The Pub Crawl is the culminating of the Iloilo launch of San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen’s latest “Kahit Kailan, Walang Iwanan” campaign with two music videos celebrating lasting friendships targeting the Millenials and the older generation.
The first music video, "Side A",perfectly captures how older drinkers partied in the day, complete with flared pants, long hair, disco music and San Miguel Pale Pilsen.
The second music video, "Side B", is a more modern take, showing younger drinkers having fun in 2019, hitting clubs in street wear, showing off hip-hop moves, partying to electro beats, and enjoying the same San Miguel Pale Pilsen.

When played side by side, these two videos become one - unmistakably “Kahit Kailan, Walang Iwanan”

THE PUB CRAWL

The event kicked off at  Bourbon Street at The Avenue Complex in Smallville with pubcrawlers battling it out with the Trivia Challenge – after downing a bottle of SMB Pale Pilsen.

Next was at Prism Bar where each team (and all members) had to belt it out onstage with the Karaoke Challenge with the help of another bottle of Pale Pilsen!

The Food Challenge was next at Cocktail Cruiser Bar – with each barkada tasked to finish 5 balut eggs with the help of a bottle or two of SMB!

And finally with their 4th or 5th bottle  of beer on the crawl, participants had to test their aim with the Ring Toss Challenge at B Place!

THE SECRET PARTY

After the pub crawl barkadas completed all the four (4) challenges, they gained the rights access to a secret party!

Revealed at the final bar, these exclusive party was hosted at Mamusa Bar and featured performances by Iloilo's very own Four Elements and top Indie band Autotelic, in their first ever live performance in Iloilo City.

With the theme "Kahit Kailan, Walang lwanan", the CONNECT Pub Crawl event is part of San Miguel Pale Pilsen's campaign to celebrate lasting friendships, and to continue to be part of new friendships and memorable experiences with the barkada.

Watch out for the next legs of the CONNECT Pub Crawl happening in Davao, Manila, Bacolod and Cebu.

The area around the town of Bingawan, the edge of the central portion of the province is where it ends and the town of Tapaz, Capiz province begins and is very much another unsung corner of Iloilo with warm, friendly, welcoming people. Bingawan has some rich farming land and farming is at the heart of its village life. The landscapes are gorgeous here; with gentle pastures, to the high mountains. The area offers some beautiful hikes and bike trails across its lovely rolling meadows, woodland and a few working farms. St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo's The Deck

While most malls around the country host Sunday masses in some obscure hallway filled with plastic chairs with a makeshift altar, some malls have built niches or transformed unused spaces into places of worship. And Ilonggos should be proud that one of the newest malls in Iloilo City has actually a chapel located in a prime spot and one that boasts both beauty and serenity.  The St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo is located in one of its al fresco areas known as The Deck located  at the 3rd level. While this open air area also has a mini plaza and dog park (and soon - cafes and restaurants) it is the chapel that highlights this al fresco part of the mall. Eucharistic mass services are held every Sunday at 11am while first Friday masses at 5pm.  It is open to the public everyday for personal moments of silence and solitude. The Deck and everything in it is open from 10am to 10pm with the entrance located betwee...
