Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park township is all set to spread happiness and inspire hope in celebration of the city’s world-renowned Dinagyang Festival, with safety protocols in place.

As a premier lifestyle destination in the city of love, Iloilo Business Park is all geared up to greet revelers with a festivity of fun, fashion and flavors as the world-class festival goes digital for the first time. Dinagyang 2021: Kasanag kag Kalipay (Light and Happiness) will also shine the spotlight on Ilonggo frontliners, which emerged as the real Dinagyang warriors of the city in 2020.

Ilonggos are invited to watch a feast of dancing lights and sparkles at  Glitters in the Sky on Jan. 24, 7 pm at Iloilo Business Park. A much-awaited annual event during the community’s grandest festivity, the grandest fireworks show highlights the vibrant celebration of fun and merrymaking.

Ilonggos can also appreciate artistry and craftsmanship with a showcase of local crafts at the One Iloilo Dinagyang Fair, located at the Indoor Atrium, Festive Walk Mall. From Jan. 20-24, 10 am to 9 pm, browse from items locally weaved, crafted and made by Ilonggo micro, small and medium enterprises.

Adding color to the celebration, a majestic parade of Dinagyang Warrior Costumes on the runway is also set to showcase the creativity and festive way of merrymaking by the Ilonggo community. The Dinagyang Warriors Fashion Show will be held on Jan. 23, 5 pm at the Megaworld Boulevard, Iloilo Business Park.

No celebration will be complete without a feast of Ilonggo flavors. Indulge in the delectable cuisine from different local restaurants at the Dinagyang Food Walk from Jan 21-24, 10 am-10 pm at the Festive Walk Parade.

“The Dinagyang 2021 celebration at Iloilo Business Park aims to inspire Ilonggos to look forward to brighter beginnings,” Karmela Alexandra Jesena, marketing manager of Festive Walk Iloilo said. “More than just the usual merrymaking, it is a homage to the strength and hard work of every Ilonggo, especially our frontliners, who sparked a ray of hope for the city amid the pandemic.”

With Ilonggos’ health and safety as the top priority and in partnership with the Iloilo City government, Iloilo Business Park will implement government-mandated health and safety protocols such as mandatory temperature checks, footwear and hand sanitation, wearing of face masks and face shields and strict observance of social distancing. Guests will also be asked to fill out the contact tracing form which can be accessed through QR codes located at event entrances.

To minimize contact, cashless payment options are available. Ilonggos could also conveniently order food and shop for items through Festive Walk Mall’s drive-thru and pick up options.
