Quarantine Passes are back in 'critical areas' of Iloilo Province

Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. issued Executive Order No. 320 today August 16, 2021, implementing the zoning containment strategy and barangay quarantine in critical areas in the province of Iloilo bringing back quarantine passes in areas affected.




From August 17 to 31, 2021, all cities and municipalities in Iloilo province shall enforce the zoning containment strategy and strict barangay quarantine over barangay/s or zone/s with clustering of COVID-19 cases and other indicators set by the IATF.


Defensor said there is a need to enforce measures to significantly reduce people circulation in order to address the developing COVID-19 surge in the province and the advent of the new COVID-19 variants.

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. issued a memorandum urging the city/municipal mayors, punong barangays, and all concerned to enforce the BARANGAY QUARANTINE until August 31, 2021 under Executive Order 320, Series of 2021.




These critical areas will be identified by the respective LGUs and will then be subjected to implementation, monitoring and control points by the baranggays with the following but not limited to:

  • All residents are enjoined to stay at home, except to access essential goods and services or for work/ conduct of business in allowed offices, establishments or industries.
  • Non-essential travel into and from such barangays/zones shall be restricted except for APORs.
  • A QUARANTINE PASS from the Punong Barangay will be required for essential travel. Only one member of the household shall be assigned to secure essential goods and services.
  • Non-government APORs working or doing business in other livelihood sectors shall secure a quarantine pass from the Punong Barangay.
  • APORs traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons need a quarantine pass. Those leaving for vaccination should present a quarantine pass or COVID-19 Vaccination Card.
  • Travel for medical emergencies and other crisis response shall not require a quarantine pass or other requirements.

An update for the EO will be made before August 31 to ensure an orderly implementation after it ends.
