Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo Shines Bright with a Whimsical Tree Lighting and Holiday Season Launch

The enchanting spirit of Christmas descended upon Iloilo City as Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo ushered in the holiday season with a splendid tree lighting event, themed "A Whimsical Christmas."

The evening was brimming with enchanting moments, captivating performances, and a profound commitment to brighten the holiday season for the community.

The festivities commenced with a mesmerizing performance by Iloilo's talented violinist, Nicky Garumba, setting a magical tone for the night. Adding to the joyful atmosphere, the children of SOS Children's Village Iloilo charmed attendees with heartwarming carols.

Mr. Ogie Manuel, General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo, shared his enthusiasm in his opening speech stating, " Let Christmas here at Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo remind us that amid our adult responsibilities, we have this wonderful excuse to be childlike once more where every moment is a canvas for our imagination, and every hope is an adventure waiting to unfold."

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry TreƱas spoke about SM as a reliable, supportive partner of the city. In the words of Mayor Jerry Trenas, "Christmas is about love, unity, and partnership. The city government is always here for the SM Group and its affiliates as we value our strong partnership with you."

The event's crowning moment was the grand tree lighting ceremony, led by Mr. Ogie Manuel, General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo, alongside Iloilo City Mayor Jerry TreƱas, Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, and Councilor Sedfrey Cabaluna. The ceremony was nothing short of enchanting as the pastel-adorned Christmas tree was unveiled with a theatrical curtain drop, reminiscent of a captivating magic show.

Following the tree lighting, guests were invited to the Panai function room, transformed into a magical Harry Potter-themed Christmas reception. Part of the program was the introduction of the hotel’s department heads and key personnel. The talented Carmelli Blacer then serenaded attendees with heartwarming Christmas songs and beloved musicale classics followed by dance performances from the PCD dance school.

The culinary delights served at the event were equally enchanting. Guests savored a delectable spread, and the dessert, reminiscent of Harry Potter's Golden Snitch. Event also featured pocket activities such as street magic, tarot reading and mirror photo booth.

As part of their commitment to the community, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo proudly announced SOS Children's Village as their chosen beneficiary for the festive season. A portion of sales from select holiday offers will be donated to the foundation, coupled with series of activities with the children.

To further extend their support, the hotel has established a dedicated drop box for non-cash donations and gifts within the premises, making it accessible to guests, team members, and anyone wishing to contribute to the foundation. Contributions will be collected and delivered to SOS Children's Village before Christmas day, spreading the season's joy.

To conclude the enchanting night, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo brought extra joy by giving away stays at various Park Inn by Radisson properties across the Philippines through a raffle. Winners left with the exciting prospect of future getaways to various key cities.

Adding a final touch of warmth, the evening ended on a high note with a heartening community moment. The children of SOS Children's Village, joined by the lively PCD School dancers, led everyone in a beautiful rendition of "Christmas in Our Hearts." This shared song marked a special unity, reflecting the true essence of the Christmas season.
