Iloilo City’s First Science Museum to Open at Iloilo Business Park

Mandurriao, ILOILO CITY, July 24, 2025 –Reinforcing its status as Iloilo City’s Center of Arts and Culture, Megaworld’sIloilo Business Park iopening its third museum inside the 72-hectare township this July.

Occupying 1,650 square meters at the third level of Festive Walk Mall, the Science XPdition will be the first museum in Iloilo City dedicated entirely to science, learning, and discovery.

Science XPDition is the third museum to open at Iloilo Business Park, reinforcing the township's stature as the city’s center for arts and culture, and as a destination for discovery, learning and experiences.

The museum is known for its immersive, hands-on approach to science education. It features over 100 interactive exhibits and more than 100 hands-on experiments across 10 themed laboratories, offering children and families a unique opportunity to explore science in engaging and accessible ways.

Covering a wide range of topics—from physics and biology to engineering and zoology—the exhibits are designed to promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Visitors are able to participate directly with the displays, making the museum a fully interactive and sensory experience, rather than a traditional walk-through exhibition.

Life-sized figure of Albert Einstein is one of the main highlights of Science XPDition, which opens on July 25 at the third floor of Festive Walk Iloilo

A key highlight of the museum is the life-size silicone figure of Albert Einstein, crafted by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The hyper-realistic figure offers a rare photo opportunity and serves as a tribute to one of the most iconic figures in science.

Science XPdition brings a new layer of educational and cultural enrichment to Iloilo Business Park as we position our township as a destination for learning and exploration. We look forward to welcoming children, students and families to this new attraction, as we look to give them more meaningful and educational experiences,” said Graham Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

Envisioned to become a regular stop for school field trips, family outings, and educational visits, the opening of Science XPdition builds on Iloilo Business Park’s growing reputation as a hub for arts, culture, and learning.

During the past years, Megaworld has built and opened two museums in Iloilo Business Park: the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), the first museum dedicated to contemporary art in Visayas and Mindanao, and the Brandy Museum, the first and only museum of its kind in the country.

Our vision for Iloilo Business Park is to become a true cultural and creative district for Iloilo—one that celebrates the arts and heritage, and also inspires learning and discovery. With the presence of ILOMOCA, the Brandy Museum, and the opening of Science XPdition, we are laying the groundwork for a thriving community where culture, education, and innovation intersect. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to bringing more enriching and meaningful experiences to the township in the years to come,” said Arnie Batac, Executive Director of the Iloilo Business Park Arts & Culture Council. ***
