Big Bad Wolf Books Makes Iloilo Comeback — Limited Time Only!

After two long years, the world’s biggest book sale is finally back in Iloilo!

Today, Big Bad Wolf Books officially opened its doors with an exclusive VIP Day at Robinsons Pavia, Iloilo, giving Ilonggo leaders, partners, media, and KOLs the first chance to explore over 2 million brand-new English books at discounts of up to 95% off retail prices.

This highly anticipated return marks Big Bad Wolf’s first Iloilo comeback since 2023, and it’s here for a limited time only—from August 28 to September 8, 2025.

First Dibs for Iloilo’s VIPs

The special VIP Opening Ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting led by Iloilo provincial government officials, alongside Big Bad Wolf Philippines’ Country Manager, Ley Almeda.

Guests were treated to a sneak peek of aisle after aisle of must-have reads from children’s books and young adult favorites, to fiction bestsellers, biographies, and self-help titles.

A Limited-Time Love Letter to Iloilo

True to Iloilo’s title as the City of Love, Big Bad Wolf Books returns with the mission of spreading the joy of reading while supporting the city’s literacy-driven initiatives, like the Plaza Libertad outdoor library.
BBW Iloilo2025 will also donate books to the Iloilo Provincial Library

“Big Bad Wolf hasn’t been in Iloilo since 2023, so this year’s run is extra special. At a time when the reading crisis continues, we reaffirm our commitment by making books accessible.

This comeback also supports the Iloilo City Government’s leadership in promoting literacy by giving them first access to the best deals and titles we’ve brought in,” said Ley Almeda, Big Bad Wolf Philippines Country Head.

Championing Local Voices in Iloilo

Big Bad Wolf’s return to Iloilo isn’t just about global bestsellers—it also highlights the importance of local storytelling and grassroots publishing. This year, the sale proudly partners with Kasingkasing Press, a grassroots independent publisher based in Iloilo, known for championing regional literature and giving a platform to Ilonggo and Visayan writers.

By showcasing titles from Kasingkasing Press alongside international reads, Big Bad Wolf reinforces its support for the city’s #TheCityThatReads campaign and ensures that the voices of local authors are celebrated just as widely.

Discover New Titles with Wolfie-slashed Prices

For this Iloilo comeback, Big Bad Wolf Books is also unveiling a brand-new batch of titles never before seen in the City of Love. From award-winning fiction and trending non-fiction to educational children’s books and beloved classics, readers can expect fresh finds across every genre.

Even better, this year’s sale introduces more affordable price points to make reading accessible to all. With books starting as low as ₱60, Big Bad Wolf proves once again that everyone—from students to families—can take home quality books without breaking the bank.

Bookish Activities for a Fun Book Hunt

Wolfies can look forward to exciting instant rebates:

₱120 off with a ₱2,000 spend

There are also discounts for students, teachers, and institutions buying in bulk. On top of irresistible deals, Ilonggos can join fun bookish promo activities such as the Book Stack Battle and the Big-Bad Book Off.

After checking out, swing by the Book Stack Battle corner and find out how tall your book haul really is! A Big Bad Wolf crew member will size up your stack with “Wolfie’s Ruler,” and the higher your pile, the bigger the prize you’ll take home.

Our lovely Wolfies were able to reach astounding heights – even above a 60-inch stack! Make sure your receipt gets stamped by the official Book Stack Battle crew to claim your rewards!

If you bring a friend to the book hunt, join the Big-Bad Book Off! A Big Bad Wolf crew will initiate the mini-game: you and your friend will secretly pick the book that you believe is your thickest purchase.

Travelers guide to Iloilo transport terminals (Airport, Jeepneys, Buses, RORO. etc)

Being the biggest city on Panay Island and the center of Western Visayas region, Iloilo City is a transportation hub whether by land, sea or air. These numerous transportation terminals facilitate day to day commerce, light & heavy industries, and tourism, among others. Connie Carillo Diversified Farm in Bingawan: Helping Sustaining a Healthy Community Through Farm Schools

The area around the town of Bingawan, the edge of the central portion of the province is where it ends and the town of Tapaz, Capiz province begins and is very much another unsung corner of Iloilo with warm, friendly, welcoming people. Bingawan has some rich farming land and farming is at the heart of its village life. The landscapes are gorgeous here; with gentle pastures, to the high mountains. The area offers some beautiful hikes and bike trails across its lovely rolling meadows, woodland and a few working farms. The town would be less touristic than its neighboring towns but is well worth exploring. If you are concerned about how organic can contribute to benefit our shared environment, promote fair relationships and a good quality of life for all involved, then a trip to Connie Carillo Diversified Farm is for you. With the governments’ efforts to improve the knowledge and technical skills of the farmers, the Connie Carillo Diversified Fa...

St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo's The Deck

While most malls around the country host Sunday masses in some obscure hallway filled with plastic chairs with a makeshift altar, some malls have built niches or transformed unused spaces into places of worship. And Ilonggos should be proud that one of the newest malls in Iloilo City has actually a chapel located in a prime spot and one that boasts both beauty and serenity.  The St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo is located in one of its al fresco areas known as The Deck located  at the 3rd level. While this open air area also has a mini plaza and dog park (and soon - cafes and restaurants) it is the chapel that highlights this al fresco part of the mall. Eucharistic mass services are held every Sunday at 11am while first Friday masses at 5pm.  It is open to the public everyday for personal moments of silence and solitude. The Deck and everything in it is open from 10am to 10pm with the entrance located betwee...
