Island hopping in Guimaras

The many islets surrounding Guimaras island make it a favored island hopping destination.

You don't need to travel far and shell out lots of money for its just a mere 15 minutes across Iloilo City and another 30 minutes to the popular Alubihod Beach - the most popular "sands" on the island.
Alobijod Cove Resort is among the newest in the area and he newly renovated resort offers around 30 room accommodation ranging from couple rooms to those that can hold 6-8.

For day trippers they have hut,s cottages and a large pavillion for large groups. It is situated on the shores of the popular Alubijod beach which is a great place to start any island hopping adventure.
One can find boatmen offering their boating services on the beach. Island hopping rates start at around PhP550/1st hour then Php150/every succeeding hour.

They already have route that usually 2 hours long - just enough to experience the thrill and do some swimming in isolated beaches along the way.
Like this one - Ave Maria Islet which was our first stop after a 20 minute travel across the sea while appreciating the limestone cliffs and lush vegetation.

Its fine white sand and clear waters may remind you of other popular island and beaches you may have been to. If you're lucky, you may find this small stretch of beach all yours.

Continuing the tour, you'll be able to visit other popular resorts and beaches - some public, other private.

The boatmen knows the route by heart and most of the time get some "passes" even to these private beaches - if no ones around.
You'll pass by the famed Isla Naburot and Baras Beach resort among others. Then there's Natago Beach which is a stretch of white sand between two islets with a private accommodation which will soon be open to the public.
There's no shortage of beaches while going island hopping in Guimaras. It's many coves and islets make it an ideal place to find a beach destined for you.

Or you may spend the hours and minutes appreciating the beauty of nature while zooming across the sea.  It is always depends upon you. And that summer's calling - its up to you how to answer it.
As for me, I've answered it weeks ago. And won't mind being called again...
