Why the Need to #StayAtHome during this CoViD-19 pandemic?

QUARANTINE. LOCKDOWN.
PANDEMIC. CORONAVIRUS.
COVID-19

These words could easily qualify  as top contenders for Merriam Webster's annual Word of the Year recognition.

And there's no need to explain further as they are almost anywhere and everywhere during this trying times.

As the whole of humanity battles this pandemic, the citizens of the world actually literally feel these two words - LOCKDOWN and QUARANTINE which are the common practice worldwide in the fight againts CoViD-19.

I got these simple, direct to the point and easy to understand (if you know the Filipino language) pointers online and it easily explains why we all need to #StayAtHome if we have nothing important to do outside our houses -

It first describes the two types of CoViD-19 infections - Asymptomatic and Symptomatic, giving examples and easy to understand explanations.

Asymptomatic are those showing no symptoms at all and are still healthy looking while those Symptomatic shows obvious signs of being sick.

It further explains those Asymptomatic infected people pose more danger as they are already speading the virus without their knowing since they look and feel healthy. Unlike the opposite which gives us readable signs to avoid them at all - no discrimination though its hard at these times.

Everybody then becomes a suspect since COVID-19 might already have infected us - with or without symptoms.

And the only way to confirm is we have outselves tested. But with all the chaos, lockdowns and more chaos, getting ourselves tested might seem impossible because of the lack of test kits and results also take time.

And that's where #StayAtHome plus isolation amd quarantine come in. The more we mingle with others the more we might spread the virus or the chance of us getting infected - from the outside or even in side our homes.

And we don't want to be the carrier or even victim of CoViD-19 within our family, do we?

So let us set an example and follow our respective city or town's protocols in combatting CoViD-19 by STAYING AT HOME.

As what the frontliners - medical workers, police, military, SOME governmet officials say, " I stayed at work for you, You stay at home for us"

But if it's really, REALLY unavoidable for you not to leave your house, be sure to limit your exposure with others and practice these protocols before entering back your house.

And while inside your house, check these #QuarantineLife hacks to make the most of this time you will spend inside your home, -with social distancing, proper hygiene and eating healthy.

NOTE: These are just based online and is subject to further clarifications when in doubt.

St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo's The Deck

While most malls around the country host Sunday masses in some obscure hallway filled with plastic chairs with a makeshift altar, some malls have built niches or transformed unused spaces into places of worship. And Ilonggos should be proud that one of the newest malls in Iloilo City has actually a chapel located in a prime spot and one that boasts both beauty and serenity.  The St. Joseph Chapel at Festive Walk Iloilo is located in one of its al fresco areas known as The Deck located  at the 3rd level. While this open air area also has a mini plaza and dog park (and soon - cafes and restaurants) it is the chapel that highlights this al fresco part of the mall. Eucharistic mass services are held every Sunday at 11am while first Friday masses at 5pm.  It is open to the public everyday for personal moments of silence and solitude. The Deck and everything in it is open from 10am to 10pm with the entrance located betwee...
