New Jeepney Routes in Iloilo starting July 31

Ilonggo "jeep-setters" rejoice!

Starting July 31, 2018, the Department of Transportation-Land Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (DOTr- LTFRB) is set to deploy 45 brand new modern PUVs from Metro Express in three (3) newly-approved routes in Iloilo.

The new routes will be connecting the three major terminals in the in boundary of Iloilo City and adjacent towns via the centrally located Vista Mall Iloilo in Oton, Iloilo, serving as the 4th terminal.



The approved new routes for PUJs are as follow:
  • Vista Mall — Mohon Terminal in Oton, Iloilo (via C1 road)
  • Vista Mall — New Ceres Terminal in Tagbac, Jaro (via C1 road)
  • Vista Mall — Robinsons Place Pavia Terminal in Pavia, Iloilo (via Felix Gorriceta Jr. Avenue)

Mohon terminal serves as the main terminal from commuters from southern Iloilo as well as Antique while the new Ceres Terminal together with the the Tagbac terminal in jaro serves those coming from northern Iloilo as well as travellers from Capiz and Aklan (Boracay).


Meanwhile, commuters from the central towns of Iloilo and some towns in Capiz plus also those going to/from the Iloilo International Airport, utilize the Pavia terminal conveniently located beside the newly opened Robinsons Place Pavia

Plying these said routes are the modernized jeepneys that is being pushed by the government for the  Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). The replacement vehicles are required to have at least a Euro 4-compliant engine or an electric engine to lessen pollution. These jeepneys are reportedly to cost around PhP 2.1 million each

The Modernized Jeepneys have the following features:
  • Fully air-conditioned
  • CCTV cameras 
  • Wi-Fi 
  • GPS 
  • Automatic fare collection system (AFCS) 
  • TV monitors 
  • PWD-friendly

Cebu Pacific Improves Travel Fund, Voucher Policies

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, makes significant improvements in its customer policies by offering non-expiring travel fund and extending the validity of travel voucher to provide passengers with better travel experience. Building a Healthier Future Together: LG PH Donates to West Visayas State University Medical Center

 LG Philippines affirms its commitment to build a better community with its recent CSR initiative in Iloilo. The activity was spearheaded by LG, together with Mark Vincent Fabresis from ML Laundry Equipment and Supply and BigWash. 2 sets of Giant C Max and 2 sets of Titan C Max washers and dryers were donated to West Visayas State University Medical Center (WVSU-MC) in Region VI, modernizing their laundry facilities. The turnover event, held on July 20, 2023, was attended by representatives from WVSU-MC, LG, and BigWash, highlighting the collective effort to enhance healthcare services in the region.
