USWAG Dialysis Center to open in Brgy. San Isidro in Jaro

As part of Mayor Jerry Treñas' WHEELS for Inclusive Development under HEALTH, the Iloilo City Government is targeting to open another dialysis center in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro.

"The centerpiece of our administration is public health that is why I made sure the dialysis center project will be realized. This is free dialysis treatment for Ilonggos who need them, and will defray them of at least P4,000 fee per dialysis session” Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said.

This project will give free services to residents of the metro who are battling both chronic kidney disease and costly clinic or hospital fees.

"We will try to construct more Dialysis Centers so we can serve more Ilonggos" Mayor Treñas said." Sigehon ta ni ang Dialysis Center ta kay nakita ta nga madamo sang mga pigado nga Ilonggo nga nagakinahanglan sang dialysis kag kamahal gali sang gastuhon, antis nga makapasige sang dialysis. ” he continued speaking in Hiligaynon expressing his support to continue this free dialysis project for those who can't afford this procedure.

The Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro dialysis center will have 14 stations or dialysis machines that can cater to 28 patients. The existing health center at the site has been retrofitted to operate as dialysis center.

Target opening is third quarter of this year.

The city has already inaugurated Uswag Iloilo Dialysis Center in East Baluarte, Molo last December 2021 with three stations or dialysis machine that can cater up to 6 patients equivalent to 2 patients per station & 4 hours per patient.

Those who can avail of hemodialysis treatment are bonafide residents of Iloilo City, indigents, and active member of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).
